Gordon Miller is a visual artist and writer of white and native descent, living and working in Oakville, Ontario and a member of Mattagami First Nation.
He has experienced part of his life as an invisible minority with an internal and unacknowledged otherness.

 
He has been wandering and unknowingly seeking a fulfillment and peace in his life. Since he embraced his multicultural roots, however, he have achieved a spiritual and cultural rebirth that is now reflected in his art and writing.

 

His short stories, poetry and artwork have been published in various magazines and newspapers and he’s been interviewed on television and radio. His story, A Quest was nominated for the McCelland and Stewart Journal Prize in 2013. The poems, Through the Mist won the James McIntyre poetry award and Final Journey took second prize in the Oakville Poetry Alliance in 2014.
